One of my colleagues was on vacation last week. When she returned, she brought the sweetest card.
Well, I am glad I didn’t pee my pants. After all, I had a venti latte on the way to work.
But even more sweet than this card, was the gift. She gave me matching Coach coin purses. She knew if I only got one, Princess would claim it as her own. I would never see it again. Lost to the purple purse.
I almost cried from her thoughtfulness. I would have hugged her if I even knew how to begin to randomly hug people.
I have been struggling with several different things in my life, and sometimes God sends notes just when we need them. And today it was in the form of a funny birthday card that poked fun at my uncontrollable bladder and a gift filled with thought. I needed some thoughtfulness in my life today. I took note God. Thanks!
I also was in a frantic assault on my desk today. I couldn’t find a set of receipts to do some expense reports. Every time I go and get organized, I lose stuff. What made me think that pulling the receipts out of my purse, putting them in an envelope all together was a good idea? For heavens sake, now I have lost all of them. Stupid me.
However, in doing so, I dropped my black and pink notebook. Spilling out came these.
Notes from my girlfriends at church. These gals have become my rocks over the last four years. Last month, when I went to Atlanta to compete in a national discussion meet for young farmers, they sent me off with words of encouragement. And notes.
Well, these notes were so special, I wanted them with me at all times. So, of course I tucked them into my trusty black and pink. And today, when I was borderline tears, they literally fell in my lap.
Note taken. Quit stressing and pray.
Found the receipts at home.
Today that was noteworthy.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

One of those "can't see the forest for all the trees" moments. Aren't friends and notes the best?!?! Glad your day had a ring of sunshine in it. We could all use some in these gloomy February days!
Love all the friend love. Good friends are the best!
Glad your day turned out for you! It's amazing to receive the signs from above….all we need to remember is to listen:)
Hi! I just found your blog via at tweet from @katpinke and I am so glad I did.
I fell in love with a dairy farmer two years ago and left my city life behind to live on his farm in VT. We have over 800 cows and milk 400. It was a total life change. I really feel connected to your writing…somedays I literally do ask myself "how did I get here?!" but then again I wouldn't change a thing.
It can be hard to find other farm women to connect with, since so many of us live in remote, rural areas. Thank goodness for social media.
Looking forward to reading more and getting to "know" you.
All the best!
Alison
I just found you from your comment on Balancing Beauty and Bedlam…I loved your comment to her healthy eating post. I am married to a cotton farmer and I was raised on a farm and ranch. We live in town now but I was so happy to find your blog. I recently became a stay at home mom and I really want to use my blog to do a better job of educating people about agriculture. I can't wait to "get to know you more" here on your blog!:) P.S. I loved this post on notes…It is so cool how God shows us His love through others and notes are one of my favorite ways!
