Thankful Thursday: For Tooth Loss, finally

Losing your first tooth can be tragic, exciting, painful, exhilarating, and monumental all at the same time.

For Boo, it has been a long process to get his little tooth out. A few weeks ago, he really wanted it  pulled, but was so brought to tears in fear.

He started excited. Anxious.

After all, the permanent tooth was already popping through behind them.

Daddy started with a Kleenex. No tooth.

Then we got some heavier equipment. Tears started.

Walking away with all teeth in tact.

Fast forward two weeks.

All smiles. Tooth just fell out right in the middle of math class.

Now, we just need to get that other little guy out. It is hanging by a root.
Happy six year old who earned five dollars from the tooth fairy!

The Tooth Fairy was generous! That's what my 6 yr. old got on his first tooth also. The good thing about the permanent tooth being already in is, it just needs to move into place when the baby tooth goes:) It's amazing how much those permanent teeth can move!

  2. Love the pics – esp the one of him smiling real big – way too cute!
All 3 of my kids have had a tooth pulled with pliers!

  3. 5 bucks! Wow, I think I am going to demand some back pay from my tooth fairy. I better check to see what the market is bearing today, but I am pretty sure 25 cents isn't going to cut it! :) Fun story, thanks for sharing.

  4. 5$!!!!! The tooth fairy had better start counting all those teeth coming out in the next few years! ;-) No, the first one is a big one. Congrats to Boo. It's cray on the patience but way better on the nerves if the tooth comes out "by itself" or with help from its owner. Good luck on all the rest to come!

  5. Thanks for the comment and for following. Let me know how your roast goes. I'm your newest follower. Great blog!
