We love to make a really big sub on the grill wrapped in foil. We use a fresh whole loaf of bread, slice open and fill with whatever we have on hand (spinach, tomatoes from the garden, cheese, meat, a little italian dressing.) Let it cook until the cheese is melted.

I love to fix green beans with smoked sausage and potatoes!! Of course I use fresh green beans and new potatoes when available. This was just about my favorite meal from my childhood so I’ve passed it along :)

Boy-this is making me hungry! :)

I think our favorite simple meal around this house is baked roast beef or ham and cheese sandwiches-sometimes with extra onions for a kick. Quick. Easy. I can freeze a bunch ahead of time and you can throw some fruit or veggies and chips with it and you are set. :)

On a side note-I love what the others have wrote-I may be borrowing some of their ideas as I’m always on the lookout for some new recipes! :)

I am hoping someone will take pity on this old gal and send me a Gooseberry Patch cookbook and put me out of my misery. :), :), :). Then I can slowly try every recipe in the book. I tried the Mountain Top Bacon, my family was not too keen on the sweetness, so I did a second batch w/o sweetness, and they loved it.
