Jalapeño poppers are always a hit at any party. Or random Monday night supper. After all, these bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers cover three food groups: meat, dairy, vegetable. That means it is like a bite-sized casserole, right?

These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers have 5 ingredients and sure to be a hit at your next tailgate or party.

    Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

The recipe comes from my brother-in-law. Must give credit where credit is due. Plus, he raises pigs. So, if I am going to boast a recipe using two forms of pork, who better to give it street credit than a pig farmer.

Back to the recipe for bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers...

We are talking five ingredients. 5. That is it.

    Jalapenos

    Ground Pork

    Cream Cheese

    Shredded Parmesan

    Bacon

These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers have 5 ingredients and sure to be a hit at your next tailgate or party.Ground pork is what I used. Most chain grocery stores will sell fresh ground pork. Usually on the top shelf in the same area as pork chops, pork loins, pork ribs in the meat case. If you can't find it, use fresh breakfast sausage. It will be fine.

And of course, I cook the fresh ground pork in the Micro-Cooker. I have two now. One is always dirty and in the dishwasher. After a quick six minutes, I mix the cream cheese and Parmesan cheese into the ground meat till completely melted.

While the meat is cooking, Cut 15-25 jalapenos, lengthwise and scoop the seeds out. Then I fill each jalapeno half with the pork and cheese mixture. I slice the bacon in half and wrap half slices of bacon around each stuffed jalapeno. Place the bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers on a jelly roll pan.

These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers have 5 ingredients and sure to be a hit at your next tailgate or party.

Then bake. On 350 till bacon is crispy. This will take at least 30 minutes. The thicker the bacon, the longer the cook time. Personally, I like these better with the thinner bacon. I now use the regular Oscar Mayer bacon.

Now, if you are going to a party or hosting people and want to keep these poppers warm, drop them into a Casserole Slow Cooker. Um, the casserole crock pot may be my favorite kitchen appliance. Buy one for anyone getting married or put it on your Christmas list for your mother-in-law to buy for you. These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers have 5 ingredients and sure to be a hit at your next tailgate or party.

Back to the poppers...I have held the poppers in the crock pot to keep them warm with no problems. But, these will be gone quickly. Which is why you need to make so many!

These bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers have 5 ingredients and sure to be a hit at your next tailgate or party.

Now, run out to the store and get some Jalapenos to celebrate Monday Night Football!

Leah, I never have added the ground pork before and instead always add in fruit preserves or jam into the cream cheese. Definitely trying this version. These are BY FAR the most popular appetizer I make for parties!

I didn't have any ground pork, so I used sausage. If the ground pork made these thingees any better, I couldn't stand it. These were "out of sight". Thanks for the receipt.

It’s rare to discover an expert in whom you might have some trust. In the world nowadays, nobody really cares about showing others exactly how in this issue. How fortunate I am to have definitely found a really wonderful site as this. It is really people like you that make a real difference in this world through the thoughts they discuss.

I am surprised that there dim sum is good, not that I don't trust you. My friends and I were there for dinner about 3 weeks ago and the food was not great. If I may attempt a reivew - I'd give it a 5.5/10.

I'm making these for a party and would like to bake them early and keep warm. How long have you held them in a warm crock pot, and have they gotten soggy or dried out? Thanks in advance!

When I am going to keep them warm in a crockpot I cook them a little less and let them keep cooking in the crockpot or on a hot plate. I definitely wouldn’t cook them more than 30 minutes. Have a great party!
