Avocado garlic aioli is a simple aioli made in the food processor with avocado, basil, mayonnaise, garlic, shallots, and lemon juice. The inspiration was loving to put avocado on my BLT. But that makes a fat sandwich. So I thought surely I can make an aioli out of avocados. I first experienced an aioli while eating fries. It was life-changing. I have always loved mayo and ketchup with my fries. But this avocado garlic aioli, my friends, is by far my favorite aioli.
I like aioli. I like aioli on fries or on sandwiches or with a spoon. But I love me some mayonnaise. Which is why I also love chipotle mayo. If you don't like mayonnaise, you probably don't even think you will like aioli.
Avocado Garlic Aioli Ingredients
The ingredients are simple to make an aioli. This avocado garlic aioli is so easy to make and is so full of flavor. The ingredients you will need to make this sandwich spread or fry dip are:
- Sour cream
- Mayonnaise
- Avocado
- Garlic
- Basil
- Banana peppers
- Shallots
- Lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
How to Make Aioli
To make this simple avocado garlic aioli, rough chop the garlic, basil, banana peppers, and shallots. Put the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon, juice, and chopped veggies into a food processor.
Then pulse or puree. I like the tangy the banana peppers add to the aioli. Of course, these peppers can be omitted.
The light green aioli is a smooth and flavorful mayo spread that is full of summer flavors. It is the perfect doctored up sandwich spread.
Then what, you ask? Treat it like any other condiment and spread it on your toast for a BLT. Dip your veggies in it. Put it on your eggs. Pour it over your eggs. Dip your air fryer tater tots in it. Enjoy it!!

I definitely want to try this, thanks! I'm probably gonna sub full fat Greek Gods for the sour cream. My wife is an avacado monster, so despite the fact that she doesn't like mayo, I'm sure she'd try this.

Made this today. Didn't have shallots, so used chives. Didn't have a banana pepper so didnt use it. Put this on toast points with a thin slice of carve master applewood smoked ham from Costco...yummers!
I am going to try to make some using plain coconut yogurt and homemade mayo as I can't have dairy or soy.
Kids and hubby loved it!
Beth
Made this tonight without shallots or peppers...delicious!!

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and
screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic
but I had to tell someone!

Whats up this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi.
Great recipe. Love all the ingredients. A bit off tipical, but that's what made it so good.
However, you do know that Aioli means Garlic Oil, so in naming a recipe Avocado Garlic Aioli you are in fact naming it Avocado Garlic Garlic Oil, right? I could see it as Garlicky Avocado Aioli, but with only 3 little cloves in a full cup of mayo & sour cream mix I can't quite imagine it would actually be garlicky, except to those who don't Love garlic.
Thanks for all your work (haven't seen it all, but I am sure that what I have yet to read is as good as what I have seen.)
