How to Organize Necklaces
I have lots of messes. You have seen them here and here and even here. But you haven’t seen the jewelry mess I have going. I reveal another dirty little secret. My jewelry heap in the dresser drawer is a straight-up mess. So here is how to organize your necklaces.
But, then I saw this on Pinterest thanks to my friend, Megan. And then I found some of this stuff at IKEA.

Then, I decided I needed some help because this was going to require power tools.
So, the hubby was recruited. Since he comes with the tools anyway.
He thought he might need moral support, so he brought a silver bullet to keep everyone relaxed.
And then he got busy.
And I was ready to get organizing.
The prettiest are so much prettier when they aren’t piled on top of themselves.
Now, I just have to figure out something to do with my earrings.
Any suggestions on how to organize the rest of my jewelry??

Leah- look on pinterest for the earring solution as well. i have seen people use picture frames with like a metal mesh screen in it to hang their earrings from them. I thought i was really cute:) MISS YOU!!!! Val
Love the IKEA hooks, have couple sets in my kitchen as I have no drawer space!
I just picked up a couple of Ikea rods and hook sets myself…now I may need to borrow the husband and his power tools…
I have an old picture frame that I painted white and stapled a screen to the back of it. My earrings look gorgeous hanging from it. This requires a staple gun so you may have to enlist the hubs again…with the help of a silver bullet ;0)
Leah- someone posted an earring organizer… they used an old printer tray horizontal and put small hooks or nails to hang the earrings.

I have a drawer much like yours. I use ice cube trays for my earrings. For a small amount of earrings that have hooks (not posts) you may try using a piece of cross-stitch plastic in a nicely decorated frame.

I have my necklaces hanging on pegs, but I love your idea. I have all of my earrings in tiny zipper 4×4" bags (kept in a wicker basket) that I found at a parts store. I travel a lot so all I have to do is grab the earrings I need and they are already bagged up.
Love Love Love! We have a huge walk in closet so I moved my standing jewelry box in this summer and used 3M hooks to hang all my necklaces. Looks great now! But, I definitely would have stolen this idea if I saw it first! Great idea!
First I think your jewlery mess looks much more contained than mine…I've been debating what to do about it and this is such a great idea! Thanks for sharing! Second I think I have that same Bonnie Mohr painting! Third my hubs does chores round the house without his shirt too-must be a farmer thing! ๐

Pinterest does have an earring solution with wire spread across an empty picture frame. That is such a fun website with GREAT ideas.
I love the rod and hooks you found at Ikea! My jewelry box is over loaded, I need something like this, but not quite sure where to hang it….maybe in the closet. Thanks!

Earring fix: Take an empty frame and staple screen into it. Hang the frame. The earring hooks will fit into the screen holes.
I put ice cube trays inside my drawers to organize my earrings. It works great!
