Friday Wine Down
It’s Friday. I got my monthly wine shipment in last Saturday. I haven’t tried what I got. I think it is about time.
Have I mentioned I love being in a wine club? God bless V. Sattui. The wine just shows up every month. Like clockwork. I need more wine clubs. Tonight’s wine down is from the Ramazzotti Vineyard. A Zinfandel. Nice and hearty.
At $36 a bottle, I had high expectations. They were met. Now, I have to make sure I don’t order a case tonight when I drink this bottle dry.

A working mom of two very active teenagers. My husband and I gave up running the 80-cow dairy farm that also included a couple of hundred acres of corn and soybeans to both work to support the agricultural industry. We still have about 20 head of dairy heifers and cows to help my kids appreciate the effort it takes to raise livestock. I consider myself a foodie as I love cooking and experimenting with recipes. Just tea here…..and that's a treat. Usually we just drink water for dinner.
I love my wine friend! Perfect wine! This is one of My Farmers favorites too. I'm enjoying a 2006 VJB chard. Another buy from my Napa trip. Salute!
I also love wine and am enjoying a nice chardonnay right now.
I need a Vodka club!!!!! And Emi Lou fixed dinner tonight – I think she is my favorite now!!!

I enjoyed some ice cold bud light tonight.
I might be in trouble with a wine club, but I am excited to say that I just booked our flights for a mini vacation to Napa Valley for The Farmer and I in a few weeks. We are meeting the Hadricks there as they have a speaking engagment near Sacramento. Now we just need to plan a RFOA field trip there or even just to the wineries of Indiana for a start. ๐ Miss you lots!!!
I'm a member at Chateau Thomas but ther eisn't any delivery- I'm forced to go to the wine bar by my house and pick up my wine and I usually get coerced into a free sampling while I'm there.
Let's see… my current bottle is from Trader Joe's. It's Albero Tempranillo Barrica. It's very yummy and was crazy cheap for being so good (only $6).
