You and I both know peeling fresh eggs is not easy. Or fun. And leaves your eggs looking like they went to war with their shells. The basics here, fill the bottom of a pan with an inch or two of water. Place eggs in a steam basket and turn the heat on high, place lid on the pan. Once steam starts, and steam for an additional 12 minutes. Then immediately put into an ice bath of water. Start cracking the eggs to help get the ice water into the eggshells. Start peeling eggs once eggs have chilled for ten minutes.
In a mere 12 minutes, the eggs are all peeled and ready for snacks for the week. These easy to peel hard-boiled eggs are my secret weapon. Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 1 cup Water
- Ice
Instructions
- Place an inch or two of water in a pan. Place steamer basket in pan making sure the basket is not in the water.
- Add eggs to basket. Cover and heat over high heat.
- Once steam starts emerging, steam eggs another 10-12 minutes.
- Immediately remove from heat and place eggs in ice water bath submerging completely. Crack eggs to help cool eggs down.

Fresh Eggs are typical harder to peel, but only because people are doing it wrong!
Instead of covering Eggs with Water, add just a half Inch " of Water (Comes to a boil faster = You save Energy, Money and Water = Win Win Win), that way, you Steam the Eggs instead of Boiling them.
When done, add them to Cold Water for a Minute or so... Either transfer back to the Pot with a Lid, or a different Container with a Lid, and gently shake for 5 - 10 Seconds, and you're all done ๐
