Italian Beef Ingredients

The three ingredient gourmet dinner!

Crock Pot Italian Beef

Start with your hunk of meat. Grab a roast. Any roast. It can be an arm roast, round, rump, sirloin. Doesn’t matter. Grab some Italian dry seasoning mix and a beer. Don’t have a beer, try a jar of banana pepper rings, juice and all!

Put the roast, frozen or thawed, into the crock pot. Pour the entire beer over top.

Pour one to two packages of Italian seasoning mix over top and into beer.

I usually do one packet per two pounds of meat. Walk away and let cook overnight or for several hours on high.

It should look something like this when you come back to it. Cut, rip, tear apart then.

Remove any fat or bones that may be in the roast now. Make your dog happy. And then let it do its thing for a little longer. If you cooked it overnight and this is where you are at before you left for work, put the crock pot on low. If you want to eat in three hours, keep it on high.

And when you come back to it once more, give it a good stir and enjoy. There are no rules on how to eat it. My kids like it very different.

Top off the Italian beef sandwiches with provolone cheese.

  2. I just put this together in my slowcooker, although I didn't have the Good Seasonings mix, just used Italian seasoning, dried onions, fennel.

  4. So here I go changing up one of your recipes again! I didn't have any roasts left (we get new beef Wed.) so I decided to use a Round Steak since we aren't a big fan of round steak on the grill. I'm sure it will turn out fine though! Thanks for the idea (at least we helped each other out with the idea early in the weekend!!)

  5. You have the best crockpot ideas! I made your pork chop with apples and stuffing the other night and it was fabulous! Keep them coming—I am a busy girl, the crockpot is my best friend!

  6. I know this was posted almost 2 years ago, but if you are still here I have questions. You did not add any water? What if the bottle of beer doesn’t cover the meat? Also I could not find the packet that you had so I googled italian seasoning and just threw some things together. I am a little worried about having it on high for too long, what is the worst that will happen? Because that will happen to me. lol
Thanks for the “easy” receipe (I dont cook)

  7. Addams 16 oz jar of pepperoni I peppers and a couple of beef billion cubes for a more authentic Chicago stle Italian beef!
