Cream together butter and sugar; add eggs. Add remaining liquid ingredients and mix.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and poppy seeds; add to the liquid mixture and mix until just combined.
Pour batter into two 9x5 inch loaf pans filling 2/3 full (see note below). Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before glazing.
For the glaze, combine butter and powdered sugar. In another small bowl combine OJ vanilla and almond extract. Stir into sugar and butter. Poke holes into top of bread and pour over the cooled bread.
